Happiness once again (Alec Volturi one-shot)

"Welcome back my love", Sapphire said kissing Alec.
Alec eagerly kissed back.
"How was it?", Sapphire asked.
"Boring without you my love", Alec said.
"Someone has to keep the elders from killing each other. Caius kept going on and on about how he couldn't wait to have the next trial. He gets very testy when he hasn't killed anyone. I don't see how Athendora stays married to him. I…", Alec cut Sapphire off with a kiss.
"Shut-up", Alec told her.
She laughed and kissed him. "Hey Alec?", she said.
"Yeah?", Alec asked.
"Tag! You're it!", she said hitting Alec on the arm.
Alec sped off after Sapphire, his mate.
They ran into the throne room where the three elders were talking about something.
Caius smiled at the younger (in human age) vampires playing peek-a-boo with each other by Marcus' throne.
Sapphire bolt for the door, but Alec caught her around the waist.
"Gotcha", he whispered in her ear. Alec wrapped his arms around her.
She relaxed in his arms and listened to Alec softly hum in her ear.
*Aro's Pov*
"Join me for a drink brothers?", I asked.
Marcus and Caius nodded and followed me leaving the two mates alone in the throne room.
"It brings me great joy to see Alec happy. It has been so long since he has had someone to love and adore", I said.
"They truly are a match made in heaven. They are meant for each other", Caius said.
"Sapphire is like Didyme. She brings happiness to everyone she comes in contact with", Marcus said.
"Everyone, even Jane and Heidi like her. The castle seems brighter and much less dark than it used to be", I said.
"It is nice to feel happiness in the air once again", Marcus said.
Caius and I agreed.
It was nice to feel happiness once again.
