The first Cullen (Carlisle Cullen one-shot)
I do not own Twilight in any way.
There was a Cullen before Edward. Bet you didn't know that, but there was.
Her name was Anna.
I bit her when I was a young vampire.
Her blood smelled so good.
She screamed in pain and let go.
I ended up leaving her with the Volturi.
Edward, Alice, and Bella came home from Volterra.
"Carlisle, we brought you someone", Alice said.
"Anna?" I asked.
"Carlisle my love", Anna said. She looked just I remembered her. Fire red hair and blood red eyes.
"Anna, this is my wife Esme", I said.
"Wife. Hmmm…" Anna said.
"You can stay as long as you need to", Esme said.
"Esme dear", I said, "Why don't you leave me and Anna to catch up".
My family left.
I took her hands in mine and brought her closer to me. I ran my hands up her bare arms and took her neck in my hands. I nuzzled her cheek with my face and nose.
She purred like a kitten and her eyes closed. "Carlisle", she purred.
"Shh", I said running my thumb over her slightly parted bottom lip.
"I never stopped loving you", I told her.
Her eyes snapped open. "Never?" she asked.
"Never", I said. I leaned in and kissed her lips.
Anna would be the first and last Cullen I would ever love in my eternal life.
