Smith, Joanne. Corporal, 13421-39154-JS: Joanne enlisted as a marine at the age of sixteen, and has been in the corps since. She has been offered higher ranks but declined, preferring the lax duties but slight privileges of a corporal. She trained extensively as a ground vehicle driver and to this day holds the record for the fastest time around the Warthog training course. Before the events that follow she served in numerous battles, and never sustained a serious wound. She was twenty years old when she KIA.
Leroux, Hal. PFC, 13421-39155-HL: Hal enlisted in the UNSC at the age of seventeen, and trained alongside Corporal Joanne Smith, working closely alongside her in many campaigns. He had been declined promotion due to numerous slight insubordinations. He trained in mounted combat, which helped him get even closer to Corporal Smith. In numerous engagements he showed initiative and leadership skills, despite his somewhat faulty career record. Of Cajun descent. He was twenty-one years old when he KIA.
Jones, Lucas. PFC, 13567-38701-LJ: Lucas enlisted at the age of fifteen, using a fake identity. He legitimately joined at age nineteen, quickly establishing a firm grasp of aerial maneuvers, and as such began the flying course for the UNSC navy. He didn't pass due to the discovery of his forged documents earlier in his career. In the events mentioned he got the opportunity to fly both UNSC and Covenant aircraft. He was placed in the same company as Hal Leroux, Joanne Smith and William Li when his company, Theta, was almost destroyed and deemed unfit for further duty, sending its surviving members to undermanned companies throughout the UNSC. He was aged twenty when he was KIA.
Li, William. PFC, 13632-55555-WL: William enlisted at the age of seventeen and had just come out of training in the following events. He trained as a scout-sniper and excelled at that. When it came to close quarters, however he showed a tendency to panic. He was posthumously awarded a medal that snipers give to their own, a shell casing, used by a famous sniper many years ago to kill an important target. In years to come, his shell casings would also be used. He was aged only seventeen when he KIA.
