Grandma Morgan
The kids thought I did not know, although why would I? I'm just an old lady, haha, makes me laugh every time that does. Where exactly does the 'CIA' think me late son learned all his spy tricks, from movies? Well I am quite happy that Rachel does not know about my skills, otherwise she would never leave me alone about what was going on with Cammie.
You see my dear granddaughter, bless her heart, is always sneaking in her little boyfriend, Zach. Which I really do not mind since I am keeping an 'eye' on them. Lord help 'em if her granddaddy found out though, no spy tricks in the world could save him from a shotgun then. They think they are SO sneaky, he makes quite a ruckus actually when he scales the siding of the house to her second floor room.
Last night though was so romantic I could have smacked my husband for not being like that when we were young…
I could hear Zach's gentle voice as he sang Cammie to sleep down the hall, my husband was asleep beside me as usual. I noticed a shifting sound in the bed, meaning Zach was leaning down to kiss Cammie for one last kiss before he left. 0434, right on time, this time though I did not hear the silent whispers. I heard Cammie's light breathing, she was basically asleep; nothing would wake her up now.
"I love you Gallagher Girl," I heard Zach whisper. I had to clap a hand over my mouth to keep from gasping and jumping with glee. The boy was perfect my little Cammie, he would protect and care for her, plus I might get a great-grandkid before they are thirty with how they are.
I heard the bed rustle in Cammie's room, the floor creek slightly, and then just before Zach was out the window, "Love you too, Blackthorne Boy."
Now I just had one thing to attend to, and that thing was laying in her bed in room across the hall. "Cammie, dear, time for breakfast," I said as I shook her awake.
"Food…" Cammie mumbled as she got up from her bed and move towards the stairs.
"You known I was just wondering if you and that Zach boy were planning on bring me great-grandkids anytime soon?" I called down to her, I heard her fumbled half way down. I grinned to myself, the joys of having children.
