Gaze of Angels

Angels mourn the burning forests,

Consumed in firestorms.

Seas of blood and water rage,

Reflecting light of dawn.

...

The gaze of angels focuses,

On those who are defeated.

Slaving under burning mantle,

Both those fought and those retreated.

...

Rain comes down from heavens high,

Yet Man is not blessed.

For they are now slaves to Chaos,

Working without rest.

...

Perhaps if they had listened,

Had looked up ancient scrolls.

Would know that Hell's domination,

Had long been foretold.

...

Dust and sweat and tears,

Are in the wind blown.

As the trio of Prime Evils,

Sit upon their throne.

...

So upon the world the angels gaze,

The devastation clear.

And thus they glance among themselves,

All trembling in fear.
