"My Lord, but you can't go to the temple." the lieutenant said visibly shaking "They say it's haunted, that there's a ghost, that it- urgh." the lieutenant clutched his throat
"You have failed me for the last time, lieutantant." Vader said emotionlessly as he collapsed the man's wind-pipe.
"I will go to the temple myself and take care of this ghost."

"I know you're there, you can not hide from me." Vader spoke into the silence of the burned out shell of the Jedi Temple
"Come out little ghost, I am not afraid of you. I am afraid of no-one and nothing."
"Yes you are." a voice taunted him "You fear remembering, you fear the past, and you will fear me."
"Who are you?" Vader breathed
"I'm your past, you bastard! Don't you remember or don't you care to?"
"Ahsoka . . ."
"Oh, so now you remember master." Ahsoka mockingly used the title
"I didn't want to hurt you . . ."
"Well you did, happy?"
"No, I'm not . . ."
"And guess who's fault that is?"
"Mine . . ."
"The Jedi are dead. YOU killed them. I saw what you did to those younglings, how the hell do you justify that! Killing HELPLESS BABIES!!"
"I made a mistake . . ."
"What about Padme? Was that a mistake? Killing your own wife? Your pregnant wife?! Even as she pleaded with you to stop! You monster! Then you turned and killed me! Your padawan! You murderer!"
"I didn't mean to . . . I-I didn't want to . . . I just wanted to save her . . ."
"You will never get a peaceful moment, not even a single respite, I will never let you forget!"

Vader knelt in the rubble, guilt, pain, emotion weighing him down.
"My Lord?" asked a soldier "Sir?"
"Ghost . . ." He muttered
"Um, Sir we're the only ones here."
The voice in his head spoke then, "Never let you forget."
