"On ten we jump."

He whispered to her as he grabbed her hand. He started the countdown alone, but by the time he got to four she was counting with him.

"Seven. Eight. Nine." Their hearts leapt up into their throats as they locked eyes for possibly the last time. "Ten."

Together they jumped, the wind stung their eyes but they resisted the urge to close them. They couldn't look away from the other, their eyes saying what they couldn't.

Finally their hands slipped out of each others and their eyes fell shut, they braced themselves for the impact.

"I love you." He almost didn't hear her soft words over the roaring wind, but he was glad that he did, even if hearing them made him want to go back in time and stop this all from happening.

She looked over at him when she didn't hear a response, not that she was exactly expecting one.

Before all of this happened the two had an unspoken rule, don't say the L-word, they both felt the spark but it was best ignored.

Neither of them were ready for anything more than what they were, but that was before. Circumstances change, and so do people.

"Quite right too."He choked the words out, and risked a quick glance over to her, seeing her tear streaked face broke his heart. "And I suppose, if it's my last chance to say it." He reached over and grabbed her hand "Rose Tyler-"

And then they hit the ground. Together, hand in hand once again.
