I'm back! Except I'm now into Glee. Especially Klaine! I spent the summer watching the series for the very first time. As much as I LOVE Big Time Rush, I wish I had watched Glee as well! I hope you enjoy my first Glee fanfic!
Kurt had came home from a stressful and busy work day at the hospital. This was one of his shifts he had to work overtime, and he wasn't thrilled to say the least. It was nothing abnormal going to in the hospital, but for a Friday night he sure didn't want to be there late.
Kurt loves his job, don't get me wrong. As. s kid his favorite toy was his doctor teddy bear often having to do surgeries and prescribe many medications to cure Mr. Bear. Saving lives was his passion. Today was just a rough day and having to skip lunch didn't help. He knew Blaine had planned for them to do a date night, but he was going to be exhausted.
Blaine was understanding and didn't give Kurt any guilt. He just had to do his plan a different way. What Kurt didn't know that he was at the jewelry store buying an engagement ring! Blaine struggled with being gay in high school. He was considered a jock even though he never played sports. His life changed forever when he met Kurt Hummel. Now here he is, settled into their first home, about to ask the love of his life to marry him.
So he buys the ring and heads home. He didn't have time to change into his tuxedo or call in for the dinner reservations. He had only twenty minutes before the love of his life would be walking through the front door. Blaine rushed upstairs to freshen up and comb his hair so he could be at least decent in his work outfit.
By the time he got downstairs, Kurt was walking through the front door. Blaine embraced his lover, seeing the disappeared look on his face. "Aw babe, it was that bad?"
"The doctor barely did anything! I was on my feet from the moment I clocked in to the moment I clocked out! Yet I still don't get a promotion or recognition for my work!" Blaine embraced his boyfriend feeling bad for him.
"That's Ridiculous! I'm sorry that happened... But come upstairs with me, I have something special for you" Blaine took Kurt hand and they ran upstairs. Once they got upstairs, no words were said. Blaine was embracing him once more, this time more romantically.
He then gets down on one knee and brings out the ring box from his pocket. "Kurt..." he starts, "Words cannot express my love for you. From the very first time I met you in high school, I knew there was something special about you. At the time I was alone, bitter, and afraid of who I was. Having many girlfriends thinking it would fix me... Nothing was working. I knew I was gay but I was scared. Then I met you..." He pauses.
"You made everything better. I changed my whole attitude because of you... I've lost friends because I was dating you... Yet I never cared. As long as I had you I never... Cared. You were all I needed. You're all I'll EVER need. You're funny, super smart, driven, and you never complain about my faults even though I have many." I took a deep breath before continuing "I. Love. You... I love you so much. And I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you..."
Blaine opens up the ring box. "So Kurt... Elizabeth Hummel... Will you marry me?"
Kurt was in tears, barely able to get out the word "Yes". The ring slid on his finger, Blaine stood up, and they shared a passionate kiss.
