AN: I decided to show Michael Maguire some love and have him be Enjolras in this. When I wrote it I was feeling nostalgic, so the cast is from the Tenth Anniversary concert.

Italics mean lyrics from Richard Marx's song I can't help falling in love with you. Not exactly a songfic.

I don't own Les Mis, characters or places, except Angela she came out of my head.

Enjolras stood ready for the national gaurds shots. He closed his blue-green eyes in prepartaion. He heard a female voice shout "NO!" before the shots rang out, but none hit him. Standing in front of him was none other than Angela his close friend, dressed as a boy. He caught her before she fell and carried her behind the barricade.

The man of marble was shaking. "Why Angela? Why did you save me?" he asked the dying girl in his arms.

Her sky blue eyes met his. "I have my reasons Enjolras," she replied, she was shaking violently.

"Someone get Joly!" he yelled.

"Don't bother," Angela said. "I'm done for."

"Please don't leave me," he started crying his ink black hair falling in his eyes.

"Wise men say," she inhaled painfully. "Only fools rush in... but I can't help falling i-in love with you," she smiled. "Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can' t help falling in l-love with you," she held out her blood covered hand. "Take my hand take my whole l-life too if I... I can't h-help f-falling in... in love with you," the last word was no more than a whisper and she was gone.

Enjolras carried Angela and placed her nest to Eponine. He kissed her forehead and returned to battle.

Angela looked down at her body, she was standing in front of it. She was dressed in a pure white dress, her skin was clean and her brown hair was clean and her pain was gone. She looked over and saw Eponine dressed similarly, and clean as well. A doorway appeared to them.

"Should we go through it?" Ponine asked.

"I feel like we should," Angela replied.

Before either girl moved a male figure dressed all in black approached them. "Come with me," he said. The girls nodded and held hands and slowly approached the door. Angela stopped and let go of Ponine's hand and looked at the men fighting.

"What is it Angela?" Ponine asked.

"I don't know, but I have the sinking feeling that they're going to follow us soon," Angela replied.

"I hope not, but part of me knows you're right."

"Perhaps we will see them again in paradise," Angela said continuing toward the black figure. They entered the doorway not knowing what was waiting for them.

Enjolras was standing in front of the national guard, with Grantire by his side. Grantaire smiled at him just before shots rang out. "Vive la France," were the last words to pass his lips.

Enjolras looks at his body he's dressed all in white. A female figure dressed all in black approached him. "Come with me," she said holding out her hand. He took her hand and followed her out the door of the wine shop. He ended up standing in the Cafe Musain with all his friends, except Marius, all dressed in white. In the crowd he sees Angela sadly smiling at him.

"Please forgive me, for all you ended up here because of me," he said to his friends.

"You are not to blame Enjolras we knew what could've happened to us," they said in unison, and then they went up one by one and told him they forgave him. Angela came up last.

"Enjolras I wanted to save you. There is nothing to forgive I chose my own path," she smiled, and for the first time he smiled back.

"Wise men say only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with you." he hugged her, and they looked at their paradise. A free France for them to enjoy eternity.
