Everywhere they go there is someone or something that reminds him of what he lost that day.
He should have married her when he had the chance. If he had done, they would have spent more than a year together, happily married.
A part of him would still be afraid of hurting her. Of losing her and of losing so much more than just Anya. To lose his wife, best friend, lover and partner in crime.
He cannot help, but wonder if they would have had a child by now, had they been married.
Or if they were expecting one.
He wishes they were, 'cause, had she been pregnant, or they had had a small infant, she wouldn't have been there that day, in that school, and she would still be here today.
But he tries not to think about it, pushes the memories of Anya and the life they could've had into the back of his head. Pushes away the grief and pain.
After they had settled in England, a girl, Alicia, bought a rabbit, a fluffy little bunny, and brought it back home to the house they all lived in together.
And Xander cried.
