Another ordinary day has passed. No crimes, just relaxation.
Raven was lying on her bed, trying hard to sleep. She groaned as her brain refused to take a rest. Raven stirred and turned, still finding her comfort. Passing the time, she replayed all the moments in Titans Tower that day. Avoiding Starfire's desserts, watching Cyborg fixed his T-Car and reading a good book. Let's not forget one green fellow who was too stubborn to leave Raven alone.
Beast Boy's jokes were endless. So were Raven's sarcastic remarks.
'Come on Raven! You know I'm funny." He would pull a face as he failed to make Raven laugh.
'Yeah. Look, I'm dying of laughter," she said monotonously, "Please, just stop."
"Never."
That one word amazed her. She was indeed impressed of his determination. But she would never let him know.
Raven lifted her head and reached for her journal under her pillow. If she could not tell him herself, she just had to write it down.
.
For one so small
You possess a big smile
It is light for my darkness
A joy for my emptiness
.
Although hurt is a return
Cynical words you don't deserve
Deeply I wish for you to know
A euphoria you are for my sorrow
My gratitude surely be shown
Someday as my courage has grown
.
Difference is obvious
Though our hearts prove kindness
True I say, similar we are
As broken hearts slowly we mend
To forget the past
To live in present
For future I hope to see
A part of me you shall be.
.
What's left now was to let him know.
