She didn't turn around when he called her name.
He was standing at the door staring at her back. She couldn't turn to him and look him in the eyes. She just couldn't... not after what he had done.
He called her name again.
She hated to admit it, but she loved the way he said her name. She was starting to feel that painful feeling of loneliness, again. She knew she was alone, but when actually seeing the one person who she thought would stay with her till the end and protect her... it ripped her apart.
She was such an idiot for trusting him of all people. She knew he would never change... but the truth was she didn't want him to change. He was, who he was... and she loved him.
He called her again, this time getting her attention.
She turned around but still didn't look him in the eyes. He started walking towards her and she resisted the urge to take a few steps back. She was... afraid of him. She hugged herself and fought back the tears that were threating to escape. He was just a step away from her and she closed her eyes.
It hurt... it hurt so much.
He reached his hand out and wiped out a tear that had managed to escape. She flinched at his touch.
Why was she so afraid of him?
Even through the tears she couldn't help but smile at the irony of the question. He had betrayed her and had taken everything from her. He had taken her away from her home. Away from her friends, her family... her life. And for what? Just to follow an order...
He called her again and she allowed a few more tears to escape. He lifted her chin with his finger and made her look at him.
Black met blue, tears met guilt, love met love...
She closed her eyes. She just couldn't even look at him anymore.
Suddenly she felt something soft on her lips. She opened her eyes in shock. She wanted to push him away, but she couldn't find the strength in herself to do so. He was kissing her so softly and lovingly, she couldn't help but relax and start kissing back forgetting about her previous thoughts. She felt the need and desperation in the kiss and smiled.
She could still trust him. That kiss was all she needed to know that.
He loved her... he just didn't know how to show it.
