Labyrinth Anthem
We sing a song of a girl we know
Who thought life was not fair.
She wished away her baby brother, and so
He was taken away by a glittery fae with poofy hair.
This fae was no one else than the Goblin King
Who came to Sarah, and began to sing.
As Jareth sang his song, Sarah began her Grand Adventure
Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered.
After meeting a dwarf she entered the Labyrinth, completely unsure
Where to go, so her heart began to race like the wings of a humming bird.
Nothing was as it seemed, a common theme throughout,
Which Sarah discovered from a worm, as she made her way out
With mismatched eyes and criminally tight pants, all hail the Goblin King!
With flair, he uses his crystals to stop his runner,
But she was fearless to save her baby brother
While Jareth let us faint from his magic dancing.
As fair Sarah journeyed long,
Help came from an unlikely source.
From Ludo, a beast with heart, and Sir Didymus, who did no wrong,
And lastly from Hoggle, who changed his course:
Acting the coward and out of harm's reach
Until the end he helped, dispite giving Sarah the peach.
The peach caused Sarah to dream
As our sneaky Goblin King wanted to,
From a fancy yet totally strange ballroom scene
Singing sweet words in her ear to make her do,
As he desired: forget about the mission she had yet to fulfill.
But our protagonist was stronger still.
With mismatched eyes and criminally tight pants, all hail the Goblin King!
With flair, he uses his crystals to stop his runner,
Though her cruel eyes saw beyond the clock, the banner, To break free, and see that she was missing something.
Leaving behind the king and the shattered dream,
Sarah found herself at a junkyard where she got back her memory.
Reaching the city gates, Sarah and her friends were attacked by a monster of metal and steam.
Luckily, Hoggle came to their rescue and soon they celebrated his victory.
Though, behind the gates they were chased by the entire goblin army with no pity;
The group fought its way to the Castle beyond the Goblin City.
Climbing upstairs inside the Castle, Sarah was alone.
She would face the Goblin King by herself,
Because this was the way these things were done.
She asked for her brother, saying her right words to save both him and herself.
While Jareth made Sarah his offer, making him feel like a clown.
She said „You have no power over me" and that's when his world fell down.
With mismatched eyes and criminally tight pants, all hail the Goblin King!
With flair, he uses his crystals to stop his runner.
Sarah's return was not a downer.
As she partied with her friends, and the owl watched, sulking.
For us fangirls this isn't the end, no not at all .
For we know, deep down, that this is only the beginning.
And so continues Jareth, plotting, waiting for a call .
And from there, all fanfic writers know (or write) the ending.
For we have the power to make our friends to act like we want them to,
So that, in the end, they are together, and Our Goblin King gets his due.
We can show you a good time of nosebleeds, giggles and squees.
We've got fanservice of all kinds, serious and quite silly.
And we've no doubt you'll find a reason to join us with ease
As we show you a King who tries to be chilly.
Most enjoy the couple, but what we all love most of all
Is to terrorize Jareth, whilst still wishing that he would answer our call!
And so the Labyrinth fandom lives on forever, it's not long at all.
