Young & By Candlelight

Josh and Matt enjoyed the brunch Gabi prepared and talked animatedly about seeing 'Wicked' again. Twenty-four hours later Josh and Gabi took Matt to the airport and exchanged "see you soons" instead of goodbyes. Driving back, Josh glanced at Gabi, "Hello there in day-dreamland?"
She came to instantly. "What are you lost in thought about?" Josh asked.
"Oh I was just thinking how happy I am that you two are on good terms and that everything worked out in the end." She answered.
"Me too." Josh replied. He was quiet for a moment before saying, "In fact I need to thank you for everything. Want to head back to my place? I've got a surprise for you..."
"Really?! Ok sure!" Gabi perked up.
It was a quiet ride to the penthouse after that, all the way to the door. Before putting his key in, Josh turned to Gabi, "Ok, so, your surprise isn't quite ready. I need you to sit on the couch with your eyes closed. In fact I may even blindfold you." Josh teased.
"Ugh! Ok. I suppose you're going to come out and say 'SHWA!' so it'll be worth it," Gabi giggled.
Gabi willingly let Josh lead her to the couch. Once she was seated he grabbed a cloth napkin from the table and covered her eyes with it, smirking all the while. "Ok. I'll be right back in a few minutes. Just relax."
Josh quickly made his way to his bedroom and changed into a dark grey v-neck shirt and dark denim with a quick spritz of his favorite cologne. Next he went to his closet and got out a tote, which was full of candles. Carefully setting a few up in the bedroom so that it was dark but lit he moved onto the stairs and repeated, all the way into the main room. There it took more time to achieve the same effect but he was soon satisfied. Now done with his preparations, he rubbed his hands together to help him keep his nerves in check. He made his way to the couch. Taking a deep breath, he was ready.
Josh took Gabi's hand and untied her blindfold. He allowed her to take in the room and him next to her. She looked at him with a warm smile as she waited for him to continue.
"Gabi Diamond. I don't know where I'd be without you. Because of you I have a great relationship with my Dad. You're the only person I know who cares so much about me to make that happen. You didn't give up. It has made me realize I never want to give up on us." Josh held her cheek in his hand. "I want us to finally get our happy ending."
"Me too." Gabi and Josh's lips collided with such fierce passion, Josh had to summon real strength to pull away ever so slightly. "Your surprise is upstairs." He said through haggard breaths.
They held hands with knowing smiles as they walked upstairs towards the bedroom. "Close your eyes, one more time." Josh whispered. He reached for the remote and pressed play for soft music, but it did not play as he expected. Instead the opening lines of another song began to play causing Josh to smirk. "Shwa darling."

Josh couldn't thank Boyz II Men enough for the rest of the night.

AN: Okay. Okay. Mostly based on what happened in the Softball episode and the song in another HILARIOUS video I've seen many many times, each time laughing more. Hint: someone was obviously drinking LOL
