Who am I...
Where am I...
Why don't I remember...

Staring at the palms of my hands, I noticed that I was splattered in blood. Someone elses blood... "What did I just do?" I asked myself. It was obvious from the evidence surrounded by me that I had committed the ultimate taboo, Human Transmutation...but why? Thinking back, the last thing I could remember was...Truth.

My head felt very fuzzy and confused. Looking at the body that layed in the middle of the transmutation circle I felt no sorrow whatsoever-but this person must've been important to me. Why else would I commit the taboo? Risking my life for another. Just as I was about to examine it I heard voices.

"I saw it! Those lights were coming from here!" Without another thought I took off. How would I be able to answer anyones question without an answer.

"Sir! There is a trail of blood leading south from here!"

"They appear to be recent. Lieutenant Hawkeye, don't let the suspect get away."

"Sir!" Glancing down at my feet I noticed that there actually was blood leading a trail. Immediately, I began to hear gun shots. What do I do? What do I say? Oh no-! Slipping on the wet red substance of blood I find myself surrounded by a small group of adults armed, ready to kill.

"Care to explain what happened?" asked the tall man with jet-black hair.

"I didn't do it!-I mean, I didn't mean to do it!" I cried "I-I don't know!"

"What do you mean you don't know? Your covered in blood! And by the looks of it, its not your blood-"

"Sir," the woman spoke "The body we discovered was laying on top of a transmutation circle. Allot like the one we saw at the Elric's house a few years ago. Perhaps this girl..."

"That can't be it Lieutenant. Take a closer look at her. She hasn't lost a single limb."

"Maybe she lost something other than an organ or limb." suggested the other adult with a cigarette popped in his mouth. The two adults eyes immediately widened and looked down at me

"What do you remember?" asked the man with black hair. "I...I don't remember anything." I said as calm as I could "I don't know who I am...or where I'm from. N-nothing." At that moment, I felt like such an incredible, selfish person. I gave up my memories, the events of my life that defined me, for the knowledge of alchemy...or so it seemed.
