自然魂 小鷺 &雪美- Kosagi is a sly, friendly, laidback man while Yukimi is a serious, beautiful woman who still loves her husband despite their opposing natures. They have two children, a friendly, outgoing boy named Raika (雷火) and a serious yet caring girl named Shimoka (霜花).
自然魂 葉月& 龍- Hazuki is a timid woman who tend to be overprotective towards her son, Taiyou (太陽), a nature-loving and timid child. Tatsu is a very protective father and husband and has an extremely muscular figure.
自然魂 森子& 鹿- Moriko is an athletic pacifist who suspects that is wife his beautiful wife, Shika, is having an affair, but is too afraid to confront her. They have two children, Fuyuko (冬子), a tomboyish teenager, and Iwao (岩夫), kind boy who is just as athletic as his father.
自然魂 海美&火山- Youka is a gentle woman who enjots reading books in her pastime. Kazan is a gentle giant, who despite being a man, can't resist anything cute. Their daughter, Risuki (リス木), is a strong-willed and active woman who can take just about any guy on, every inch of the way.
自然魂鷹羽&紅葉- Takaba has just gone through a divorce from his wife and become an alcoholic. Kouyou is a naïve, innocent, and active boy who believes in many things normal people don't.
Behold a vast green forest. Birds chirp cheerfully within the tranquil atmosphere. An ocean of green surrounds the base of Mt. Fujiyama. This forest is one of the most beautiful sites in all of Japan. The forest is a place of both beauty and mystery. It is about to become a place of death.
The date is November 15, 1994. We see a vast number of cars in front of a vast mansion. Numerous family members are giving each other cheerful greetings and are being welcomed by the servants. The children are roughhousing and joking around. A truly blissful sight. These individuals belong to the prestigious Shizentamashii family. It is the time of year when the family gathers so as to revel in each other's company and catch up on current events.
Raika: Noogie attack!
Shimoka: Raika cut it out! You know I hate that!
Raika: Ah, come on! Learn to loosen up a bit!
Shimoka: I will as soon as you let go of me!
Fuyuko: Same old Raika. He never changes.
Iwao: Yeah, and that's just the way I like it!
Raika: Hiiro, come on boy!
A beautiful red fox ran into Raika's arms and rsted on his shoulders.
Taiyou: Oh... I… didn't know you had a pet fox.
Raika: Yup! Is he rad or what?
Risuki: He is pretty cute.
Raika: Cute? Is that all you can say? Uncle Kazan has already said that about him one too many times.
Risuki: What? I'm just sayin'.
Shimoka: I'm still not comfortable with having a wild animal as a housepet.
Raika: Oh, come on! Lighten up! He's awesome, right?
Shimoka: Oh, boy…
The whole family soon entered the mansion. It was a grand, lavish edifice, to say the least. They walked down the main hall towards the kitchen for dinner.
Raika: Sweeet! I am famished!
Shimoka: Control yourself, Rai.
Kouyou: Hey, look!
All of the children looked towards where Kouyou was pointing. An enormous painting lay in fornt of them. The painting depicted a beautiful woman with a wolf's ears and tail with silver hair and a white dress covered in diamonds.
Raika: Oh, yeah! The painting! Who's in it again?
Kouyou: It's Grandma Miwa's guardian, the Diamond Wolf!
