First Kiss

A/N: Imagine the best first kiss you've ever had. It helps when reading this. Trust me. And yes, I'm still working on 100 Prompts. I hit a bit of a writer's block, and, well...you get the picture. So this popped out while I was listening to 'Possibility' by Lykke Li. - gNt

A/N #2: I'm also still working on 'Heart Grenade'. I wrote 12 chapters and I decided I hate six of them. Expect more Danny/Adam mushiness due to my severe case of writer's block. Also, Danny/Flack porn is in the works. - gNt

A/N #3: There's a link to a bit of artwork I did for this story on my profile page.

Adam had just gotten off his flight from Phoenix when he'd gotten a call from Mac.

Someone had tried to murder Danny that morning, and Adam almost crumpled to the ground in the middle of JFK.

Adam asked if Danny was okay, and Mac hadn't replied right away. Mac told him to go home, to not come in to work, that everything was okay; Adam had been too tired to not comply with Mac's order. Adam had been at home for a good three hours when there was a knock on his door. Going to answer it, Adam swung open the door, expecting to see one of his neighbors with mail that had gotten delivered to their apartment on accident.

But then he saw Danny standing there, right side of his face looking as if he'd gotten in a bar fight that had gone bad.

"Danny?"

"Hey, Adam."

"What happened to you?"

"Didn't Mac tell you?"

"Only a little." Adam had been dancing around the fact that he liked Danny for months, and he knew that Mac knew. Danny licked his lips, swallowed, and looked at Adam.

"I'm on sick leave. Two weeks." Adam wished that he could put into words what he felt, and then he took a step forward. When Danny didn't push him away, didn't say anything, Adam looked into his blue eyes, and took a deep breath.

Danny's eyes fluttered shut, and Adam was only inches away when he whispered, "Kiss me." In that moment, they could've been the only two in the whole world. And then, Danny's lips hesitantly met Adam's.

Danny didn't know when or how, but something changed in that moment when Adam had whispered across the short distance. He found himself wanting more as they kissed.

The kiss intensified, and then, as Danny tried to push his tongue past Adam's lips and teeth, Adam pulled away. "Let's take things slow."

"Yeah," Danny whispered, and looked at Adam. "See ya later." Just as Danny was walking away, he turned back around. "What're you doing this Friday?"

"Uh…working the morning shift till…three. Then…nothing."

"I'll pick you up at seven." Adam blushed a little, and then looked back at Danny.

"Okay." Danny disappeared down the stairwell, and Adam leaned against the doorframe, taking deep breaths, trying to figure out what had just happened.

Closing the door, he went over to sit down on his couch, and then a new feed popped up on Facebook.

Danny Messer best first kiss ever.

Adam smiled to himself, and clicked 'Like'.
