As Cassie stared out of the window, she could see the splashed drops of rain dripping down.

Her head had been resting against the dirty glass for about a half hour.

The train moved fast and slow, Cassie couldn't decide witch.

Neither did she really care, but she could at least keep her head clear of unpleasant thoughts by pondering on something so meaningless like the speed of the stupid train.

It was now two months since her mother died.

She and Nick dad gone to The Department to switch the case against her mother, only to find that they'd already killed her.

Cassie closed her eyes. The first week Nick had stayed with her-, probably out of pity.

But later she'd told him to leave to find "Miss Trouble". He hadn't argued much.

Of course, he had protested at first, but she'd practically kicked him out in the end.

After a whole lot of fighting about it, he had given in. Cassie was glad.

It'd given her time to think. She cursed silently.

She regretted letting him go, just a little bit. She wanted him to find Kiara, wanted him to be happy, even if it made her lonely.

It was the thinking part that had caused her trouble.

She hated thinking, by now.

She had thought she'd be able to handle the grief over losing her mother. And she had, at first.

But at first she had just been numb.

It was only days after Nick left that she had begun hurting for real. Those days were pure torture.

After that she'd started closing herself in. The walls she had built up over the years had crumbled when she opened up to Nick. Now she was pulling them up again, just tighter around herself.

Now she had gone completely numb.

She was sure, since she had scratched up her knee yesterday, and hadn't felt a thing.

She was a little scared about that, but the fright was like everything else too far away for her to take notice. Earlier this morning she had decided to take a train somewhere. Anywhere.

As a matter of fact, she didn't even know where this train took her.

She just wanted to get away.

So, here she was. There was someone else in this room, she was sure of it.

She had heard the door open up, and footsteps coming in a while ago.

She hadn't bothered to peek, though.

She was happy that he or she left her alone.

Until now, apparently, since the person was clearing his throat.

"Eh… Hi." Cassie groaned inwardly.

Lifting her head gently up, she saw a boy, about her age.

His black hair reflected the light, making it look like it was shining. His eyes were so bright and green that even Cassie was a little dazed.

"Hi." She replied, more out of politeness than anything else.

"I'm Logan." He said, obviously getting ready for a long conversation.

"Cassie." Her name had earlier sounded strange on her lips, like it was foreign or something, but now it felt completely normal.

"So Cassie, where are you going?" Wondering the same thing herself, she thought of something to answer, that didn't make her look like an idiot.

"I guess we'll figure it out." She said it light, and was sure that it was true; she would find out where she would go in life soon. And, of course, where she already was.

"So, you look like you've got trouble. Anything I can do to help?"

Cassie looked straight at him for a couple of seconds, before replying.

"No. I'll be alright.

A/N: Yeah, it probably sucks, but I felt like posting it. Okay? Thanks for reading, even if you hate it.

Please leave a comment, even if it's just to say that it was terrible. If you do though, please tell me what made it so horrible. Yeah… Bye for now!
