Concussion

The force from the blow was sickeningly hard. Jacob had not taken it well when I told him that Edward and I were back together, but it was a lot better then how Paul had taken it. Paul had lost his temper, and punched the closest thing to him, which was me. Edward was going to be mad.

I was about to pass out, but I remember seeing Paul being escorted out because he was still mad, and hadn't noticed that it was me that he hit, not one of the pack. Although that probably wouldn't have gone over too well either. The last thing that I can remember is hearing Jacob calmly name as I fell.

I woke up who knows how long later, with my head on Jacobs lap. Most of the pack was gone, with only Quil, Embry, Seth, Leah, and, of course, Jacob left with me. I really hadn't expected a reaction like that. Just then, Jacob noticed that I was awake.

"Hey Bella. How are you feeling?" he asked, obviously trying to be overly nice so that I wouldn't be too mad that one of his friends had punched me.

"Terrible." I replied. I had a pounding headache, and I still felt nauseous. If I hadn't felt so bad, I would have been mad. I can't believe that Paul punched me. I mean, it's not like he was my best friend, or that he even had a crush on me. I felt bad for Jacob, but Edward was my soul mate. I loved him and he loved me.

After that, Jacob looked grim, and I could tell that he felt bad about what happened. A little while later, Jacob picked me up, and carried me to his car. Then he drove me to where Edward was waiting. Within seconds, Edward was picking me up out of the car, and getting ready to hurt Jacob. Then I guess that he read Jacobs mind, and figured out that it wasn't Jacob, but Paul who hurt me. Then I was in Edwards car, and we were driving back to forks. I guessed that we were probably going to go see Carlisle. For once, I totally wasn't going to complain.

"Bella, I'm taking you to Carlisle. I think that you have a concussion. If you do, then I want you to stay at my house tonight. I don't want those wolves coming and hurting you again. And from now on, Jacob has to come here if you want to see him. Okay." He said. I knew it. And I totally agreed with him on the whole Jacob thing. I nodded in agreement, I didn't want to speak, as I was afraid that I was going to barf again.
