This was a song I wrote (I don't have a tune for it) for a Romeo and Juliet project during our Shakespeare section in English class, back in my freshman year of high school. This may also be found on deviantART under the pen name charlietheunicorn711.

We had to make our own interpretation of Romeo and Juliet and though I used Final Fantasy X-2's Shuyin and Lenne as my modern day Romeo and Juliet, I guess you could have the anime Romeo x Juliet in mind too, which is why I posted it in this section. I've only just started watching the anime, and I don't know how it ends, so this song might not even fit with the anime. But hey, the characters fit.

Disclaimer: Romeo and Juliet and Romeo x Juliet the anime belong to their respective copyrights. Meaning nothing belongs to me but the title and lyrics of the song below, and I gain no profit from said song. So you no sue, kapeesh?

Heaven smiled down on us,

But stars disapproved of us,

Yet still we came together:

A promise made forever.

And though our families hated,

We were the peace long awaited.

The stars demanded a fee...

It was the price they took from we...

So we became Heaven's tragedy,

Immortalized for all eternity.

The stars, they never wanted us to fall in love...

We had to end it suddenly.

Many tried to aid us,

More still to separate us.

For our sake, some did die,

For their sake, our lives were denied.

Our souls have taken flight,

They have risen from the night,

And now the stars do weep,

For we are now all theirs to keep.

So we became Heaven's tragedy,

Immortalized for all eternity.

The stars, they never wanted us to fall in love...

We had to end it suddenly.

So now hear our sad refrain,

For in the sky is written our names,

It's unfair to say we're all to blame,

For stars and kin both share our shame...

So we became Heaven's tragedy,

Immortalized for all eternity.

The stars, they never wanted us to fall in love...

We had to end it suddenly.

So we became Heaven's tragedy,

Immortalized for all eternity.

The stars, they never wanted us to fall in love...

We had to end it suddenly.
