I was just guessing at numbers and figures

Pulling your puzzles apart

Sylar never thought that he would want anything more than the list. He hardly thought about anything else, especially while he was on the hunt for another person with special abilities – which was almost, all the time. His main goal was to simply collect as many abilities as he could – eventually, he would be the most unique of them all.

Gone were the days when he was Gabriel Gray.

In the beginning, Mohinder was no more but a key - a key to unlock the hundreds of abilities that were kept in a corner of the world that was once safe.

Enthusiastic, bright-eyed Zane did the trick. He was ever so caring, ever so patient, ever so loving. Adorable, goofy grin. Check. Random displays of klutziness. Check. Ramones T-shirt. Check.

Mohinder was so easy to manipulate.

Meltdown.

One, two, the puzzle was coming undone.

Questions of science, science and progress

Do not speak as loud as my heart

Don't be stupid. Even if I lov-like, EVEN IF I LIKE that stupid scientist, he will not get in the way of my goal. He was never meant to be more than a tool.

I am special with him. We are special with him. We love him.

Get out. GET OUT NOW. There is no 'We'. It will not get in my way, you hear me? One more word and I'll-

-Having him – no one else has him. He's priceless. He's worth so much more than your countless abilities.

Gabriel, shut the fuck up.

Nobody said it was easy

No one ever said that it would be this hard

Oh take me back to the start

Sylar didn't show it, but it hurt.

That look that Mohinder gave him when he found out he was Sylar.

Mohinder didn't love him. He loved Zane.

That- look of hatred, that look of disgust, that look of fear.

It was too much for him to take.

When he said that Mohinder had been giving him hope, he meant it.

It was too late to go back now – he should have destroyed that laptop when he had the chance.

Even at the risk of the list.

The line "There was nothing more painful than the agony of being in love" was adapted from Love Actually.
