My Inspiration
Have you ever had a shining star,
Someone who accepts you for how you are?
Have you ever fallen in love with your best friend,
The one who said he'd love you to the very end?
I have, and I'm glad,
Since I have him, it's hard to be sad.
He makes me smile, he makes me cry
Happy tears from the heart, but fall from the eye…
A sigh, a simple sigh, is all it takes for him to hear,
And cheeriness and happiness he will make appear.
A love so lovely as this, that brings me such happiness,
How did it fall upon me, that I should not fall into a dark abyss?
I don't know how, I don't know why,
But right now, my heart I will not belie.
I love you, forever, always, and for eternity,
Love you with this beautiful, loving, modernity.
So, as I say this, I hope that forever, my love will be returned,
And myself, left forever unburned, forever unspurned.
You are my inspiration, my shining star, the very light of my life…
You banish away all the sadness in my life, all of the strife.
I thank you, for this, and everything you do for me,
For banishing my fears, for setting me absolutely free…
This is for you,
And everything you do…
I love you, for you, no matter what, and I thank you again…
For giving me my life back, for giving me this inspiration…
