Gabriel had to work really hard not to laugh. There were tears in his eyes, and he was trying so very hard to not just laugh to the heavens. For a trickster like him, he usually got away with things, but he's also fortunately and unfortunately known for his pranks. Doing this to his boyfriend's brother probably wasn't the smartest idea though.
He hears stomping coming down the hall way, and he ducks around a corner as fast as humanly possible, but not before he caught a glimpse of Dean coming around the corner, soaked in colors of multiple kinds, all of them neon.
And that's it. He can't possibly not laugh anymore. The tears he was holding back, are let loose and when Dean comes rushing at him, he finds it hard to take him seriously, even though he knows that he's gonna have his face beat in if he gets caught. And when he turns to run, he can't say that he's not happy for the arm that snags him and saves him from his very painful beating.
He's pulled to face Sam who can't decide whether to laugh with him or give Gabe the scolding of his life. It's apparent that the laughing wins when Sam's face is pulled into a smile involuntarily and Gabe is pushed out into the open again as he hears Sam chuckling.
He hears shouting coming from the hallway and can hear footsteps getting louder. And so the chase begins anew.
Okay, so I have this vision in my head that in a Supernatural high school au, Dean wouldn't be too fond of Gabriel when Sam and him started dating, because Gabriel played this prank on Dean one time where he was covered in paint. I'm talking neon, pinks, purples, the whole nine yards. So Dean is naturally pissed (wouldn't you be?) and chases after him. And poor Sammy is caught somewhere in the middle, cause he isn't sure if he should side with his boyfriend, or his family.
