Naruto and Sakura had been childhood friends since forever. They loved each others company dearly but on Naruto's part the love wasn't just friendly affection.

Sakura was rich, pretty and kind. All the good qualities were bundled within her.

Naruto on the other hand was an orphan who lived with his relative, Jirayah who was mostly out for 'research' meaning Naruto pretty much lived alone. He was kind but his outer shell was that of a delinquent. Most of the people in school was scared of the blonde due to him having bad record on beating people up.

However everything changed when one day Sakura got upset at him for beating up a boy who had sent a love letter to Sakura. That day was today.

"I can't believe this Naruto. Why would you do that?!" Sakura flared at the blonde. She was mad. For the first time at him.

"Well he deserved it. How dare he gives a love letter to you!" Naruto lashed back, equally heating up with the argument.

"Excuse me?" She glared. "It's between me and him. Who gave you the permission to butt in your nose?!"

"W-what you mean by that?!" Naruto slammed her against the locker as he caged her in between his arms on her both sides.

"Move." Sakura warned.

"Answer me first!" He hissed.

Sakura tried to push him off but he was too strong for her.

"What you mean by that? Don't make me laugh! It's exactly as it sounds." Sakura mocked angrily. "You are not my parent. You don't get to decide who sends a love letter to me and certainly I don't need your permission on who I receiver a letter from!"

"No! You can't get any letter from any boy!"

"Why exactly not?" Sakura asked calmly.

"B-because.."

"Because?" She slightly laughed seeing his flustered face.

"B-because I... um... I.."

"Ugh. Really now? Do you love me Naurto?" Sakura asked and ended the poor boy's misery. He stuttered worse than Hinata.

Naruto's eyes went wide as he jumped back in surprise. Did she just ask that?

"W-what?! Who s-said I loved you?!" He managed to yell out.

"Oh so you don't ?" She asked with a smirk.

"I never said that either!"

"So you do?"

Naruto looked down. His face was completely flushed. He slowly nodded before shutting his eyes abruptly. Not wanting to hear her response.

There was a moment of silence between them which made his heart sink thinking of the possibility of her rejecting him.

Sakura walk towards him and stood in front.

"Naruto look me in the eye and say it."

He shook his head quickly. "No way!"

"Say it!"

He hesitated slightly before he met her eyes his his.

"Um.. Sakura I... um.. eh... you know... I l- l- love you!"

Sakura burst out on laughter completely catching him off guard. He looked at her with worry. Was she making fun of his feelings?

"Haha.. gosh Naruto. I never expected you to be such a wimp." She wiped a drop of tear from her eyes caused from her laughter.

"Are you making fun of me now?" He asked in a low tone.

Sakura looked up to him and shook her head. "I am head over heels for you Naruto. I have always loved you. It's just I am really happy that you feel the same." She replied with a genuine smile.

Naruto just stood there in shock.

Sakura laughed before tapping him on the shoulder.

"Let's go. We are getting late for class." She winked. "You are taking me to a date after that."
