Okay, this was meant to be a Sandle but it somehow turned into a Yo!bling. Reviews are welcome but please be nice; this is my first ever fanfic.
"Come on Sara, chocolate chip is so the best!" Greg exclaimed in exasperation. He and Sara had some how managed to sustain their debate about cookies all through breakfast and everyone was tiring of the subject.
"Sara, just admit it, everyone prefers choc chip," Warrick was just trying to end their argument but somehow managed to get involved as well.
"No they don't! If you're so sure then why don't we vote on it," she looked round expectantly at Nick, Catherine, Grissom and Brass who were doing their best to stay out of it. "If you prefer pistachio cookies raise your hand." Sara, Nick and Brass all put their hands up, Brass half-heartedly as he was slightly scared of getting on the wrong side of Catherine.(Who isn't?=D)
"Fine, those who like choc chip cookies better raise your hand," said Greg triumphantly as there were four people who hadn't raised their hands yet. Sure enough he, Warrick and Catherine all put their hands up.
The whole room stared at Grissom, each pair of eyes filled with anticipation. He met each look with one of serene calm. "I like peanut- butter cookies," he remarked before turning and walking out of the break room, closely followed by Brass.
"Well that enlightening," Catherine noted in a sarcastic voice before collapsing on the sofa and grabbing the nearest magazine. Warrick and Nick simply shrugged and turned the playstation on.
"Hey Sar," Greg called out as she was about to leave the break room. "Do you want to get some breakfast after shift. We can get cookies!"
Sara looked at him suspiciously before replying "Choc chip or pistachio?"
"Pistachio, of course," He answered, linking his arm through hers and leading her out of the room.
"Oh yeah! Told you they'd get together!" Nick yelled while Warrick held his head in his hands.
"I thought her and Griss were a dead cert," he moaned, shaking his head.
"As if, she hates him. He's nowhere near good enough for her! Come on, pay up"
"You two place bets on who gets together?" Queried Catherine, raising an eyebrow. "Who do you think I'll get with then?"
Nick and Warrick exchanged guilty glances and started talking in very loud voices about the weather.
"Who?" Catherine asked again. She was getting slightly worried about who they might have paired her with. "Are they that bad?"
"It's Warrick or Grissom!" Nick blurted out suddenly. "What?" he said facing Warrick "I couldn't help it!"
Warrick was the brightest shade of red imaginable as he punched Nick in the arm before leaving the room.
"Warrick has a thing for me?" Catherine asked, sounding a little too eager to be inquisitive.
"Well, you know he likes you and you do have similar taste in cookies." Nick said as he got up and followed Warrick out of the break room, leaving Catherine alone to ponder his previous remark.
After shift Catherine found Warrick getting his stuff out of his locker. "I was thinking," she began as she walked towards him.
"Always a good sign," he teased, giving her a cute grin.
"You know how Greg and Sara got together over cookies, well, we could too."
Warrick stared at her before replying "Yeah, lets try it." He held his hand out to her , "shall we?"
Catherine laughed and placed her hand in his, "to the Cookie Kingdom!"
Review and tell me if you want another chapter. I'm thinking about making one where our two couples bump into each other at the cookie shop.
