"Are you insane?" Ruby asked me.

"What?" I asked innocently.

"Don't even pretend like you don't know!" Lil exclaimed.

"I seriously don't know! Tell me!"

"You, Miss Effie Trinket, have a crush on that drunk from 12!" Ruby was smirking. The three of us were at lunch celebrating our first day of summer. Next year would be our last year of school and we couldn't wait.

"He's not a drunk, and I don't like him," I defended.

Lil's voice was sing-songy, "Looks like somebody's in denial!"

"And anybody who can see knows he's a drunk, since you have 20/20 vision, the only explanation is that love is blind," Ruby batted her eyes overdramatically.

"So what if I find him...fascinating?"

"Fascinating?" my friends chorused.

I knew they weren't going to give up on this and that I couldn't really deny it. Grudgingly, I told them the truth, "Okay I like him, so what? You use to like that one victor from 8, oh what was his name?"

"Yes, but I got over that. And he wasn't a drunk!" Ruby snapped.

"You can do better, darling," Lil took a sip of her water.

"Not a drunk," I mumbled before taking a bite of my salad.

Dedicated to Ashes Ashes Ashes for giving me the idea and for just being an awesome author.

Yeah, I know it wasn't my best...
