Rose practically fell into the curb. Her brain tried to process what The Doctor- her Doctor- had just done. They saved the world again, with some of the best people she's ever met. They were also The Doctor's companions, but his current one was a sassy, independent woman named Donna Noble. She hoped Donna stayed with the Doctor for a long time, because Rose couldn't. The Doctor dropped her off at Bad Wolf Bay in her alternate universe... With the Meta- Doctor, a human version of her love.
How could he have done this to her? She came back so they could he together again. All that time, all the help from friends that were no longer with her... Was it all for naught? And to make matters worse, she was here with a copy of a constant reminder of her lost Doctor. Was he even going to be the same?
Her mum was using the Payphone while Peter Tyler, her alternate-universe dad, was filling the car with gas. Meta was nowhere to be found.
A lanky figure in a brown suit sits next to her. It wasn't the Doctor; he could never be her Doctor. Meta looked remorseful, kind of how the Doctor looked when she first met him (but with a different face).
He holds something out to her. They were chips. She gazed up at his face; how did he remember that?
Like reading her mind, Meta says "Our first date. Well, your first date."
Rose pushed all doubt out of her mind. Meta obviously wasn't the Doctor, but he was her Doctor. Everything the Doctor was when she was with him was stored in this man, this clone. "No," she replied softly. "Our first date."
She would have to rebuild her life again. This time around Meta, now known as John Smith. They knew love, but they didn't know love together, but soon they would. Flashing forward a year they had rebuilt their lives and their love around each other around little bands of gold on their ring fingers. They had grown their own TARDIS, ready to travel this universe. Her Doctor, his Bad Wolf, together as they should be.
