Through the Darkness
The scream pierced through the air, echoing in the still night. In a quiet room, a girl shuddered in fear. There was only one thing it could be. It could only be the dreaded vampires, who struck silently and only at night, leaving fear in the hearts of all. Often, blood was found around the neighborhood, in dark deserted alleys. The pale girl shuddered again.
"So scary…" she muttered quietly, staring out the open window at the pale moon. The fading moonlight shone off her face, illuminating it beautifully. She paled at the creak that suddenly echoed in her room. She turned around slowly, staring at the beautiful boy who stood in her room now. "This has got to be a joke…" she whispered fearfully. The boy smirked.
"Oh, but this is no joke, Hana-chan." The boy hissed malevolently into her ear, as she shuddered.
"K-Kiyoshi-kun…is a vampire?" she asked disbelievingly. Kiyoshi smirked.
"Indeed I am…" he whispered in the silence. A scream echoed throughout the house, and a jack-o-lantern sat on the porch, grinning eerily as if it knew exactly what was happening. Inside the room, the dark-haired Kiyoshi smirked evilly. Hana backed up against the wall desperately, staring fearfully at the boy she thought she had known as he advanced on her. When she had no more room behind her, she froze in fear as Kiyoshi swept upon her, fangs bared. He sank his fangs into her neck, and she screamed in pain and fear. He was draining her lifeblood steadily, and she gasped in pain as she sank to her knees, no longer having the strength to hold herself up.
"K-Kiyoshi…kun…please…stop…it…" she whispered faintly, losing more and more strength with each passing moment. Upon making eye contact with him, she let out a faint gasp. Kiyoshi's eyes were a bloody, crimson red. At that same moment, Hana exhaled once, and never breathed again, her head falling forward onto Kiyoshi's neck. Kiyoshi stood up in one quick motion, leaving behind a white, motionless corpse devoid of blood with two fang marks in its neck. No more than 5 minutes later, the door was flung open, and a scream loud enough to be heard throughout the entire town echoed. You never know what will happen…once upon a Halloween.
