Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Percy's Predicament" from Season 2, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

Daisy the diesel rail-car was having a hard time. Her work in the countryside was full of surprises, and she didn't like it at all.

She also was afraid of bulls and cows, and she was lazy and stubborn.

One day, Toby brought Henrietta to the station, where Percy was crossly shunting freight cars.

"Hello Percy!" said Toby. "I see that Daisy left the milk behind again."

"I'll have to deliver it then!" said Per cy crossly. "I have nothing else to do but shunt these foolish freight cars!"

"Tell you what." said Toby. "I'll take the milk, and you can take my freight cars!"

The driver and the stationmaster agreed to this plan.

Percy had been to the quarry before, but only once. He began telling the freight cars what to do.

"Hurry along!" he said.

The freight cars grumbled to each other.

"Percy has no right to be here and order us about!"

Then, they started to chant.

"Pay Percy out, pay Percy out!, pay Percy out!"

"Come along!" said Percy. "No nonsense!"

"We'll give him nonsense!" giggled the cars.

They remained quiet throughout the journey, leaving Percy to believe that they were under control.

But suddenly. they saw a notice up-ahead.

ALL TRAINS

MUST STOP

TO PIN DOWN

BRAKES

"Brakes please!" called Percy to the driver.

But before the driver could apply them, the freight cars surged ahead.

"On, on!" they cried.

"Help, help!" whistled Percy.

The man on duty at the crossing tried to stop Percy with his red flag, but it was too late to switch Percy to the runaway siding!

Percy slipped into the yard, where disaster laid ahead! A old brakevan was sitting on the track.

The driver applied the brakes, but it was too late! Percy crashed right into the brakevan, which was now in smithereens.

Luckily though, no one was hurt, but Percy was stranded.

Later that day, Sir Topham Hatt arrived. His message was short and strict.

"I shall talk with you later!" he said.

He arrived the next day, crosser than ever.

"Because of what you've done, we must run the railway with Toby and a diesel rail car. You have put us in an awful predicament!"

"I'm very sorry sir." said Percy.

"You will stay right where you are until further notice. I hope this will teach you to be more careful with freight cars!"

Percy sighed, while the freight cars groaned underneath his wheels. He had learned a great lesson about predicaments.

Later, Sir Topham Hatt spoke to Daisy in a strict and severe tone.

"My engines are really useful and do as they are told! I send lazy engines back where they came from!"

Daisy felt very ashamed.

"However, Toby told me that you've worked very hard to help Percy after his accident, so you shall have one more chance."

"Thank you sir!" said Daisy. "I will work hard, and Toby will help me!"

"Excellent!" said Sir Topham Hatt. "Our Toby is an experienced engine, and he'll be glad to work with you."

The next day, Thomas was let out of his shed for the first time since crashing into the stationmaster's house, while Percy was sent to be mended."

Annie and Clarabel were delighted to see Thomas again, and set off to work at once.

All the engines are friends, and Daisy is working harder then ever.
