Title: Secrets
Pairing: Laurel/Oliver
Spoilers/Warnings: Future-ish,
Author Note: Kind of in the same verse, as Leather, Fishnets, and Wigs, and it could be considered a sequel to it. Considering I did take a few things from that drabble/oneshot.
Mostly, Laurel having short hair, and the reasoning for the short hair is because I think it easier to put on a wig. If you have short hair. Plus I think dark haired Dinah had short hair in the comics before she dyed it.
Summary: Everyone has secrets. He is keeping secrets from Laurel and has been for awhile, but its only a matter of time, before he shares everything with her.
He gently runs his finger's across his lover's naked back.
Even though, they have requited themselves as lovers, since her return from Asia.
He has noticed a few changes in Laurel since her return though. Some of them were in the more physical sense, her chestnut locks being cut short, and the fact that she seems to be a bit more muscular since her departure from Starling City seven months ago.
He also noticed that she knows how to ride a motorcycle. Even though, he doesn't know if it was a detail she picked up before she left to Asia or after it. Considering the transportation, he has seen Laurel used previously, was riding with Tommy (most likely going on a date), or walking.
Despite the time of day.
He knows it made a lot of people (Tommy, her father, and himself) feel uncomfortable. Even though, he doesn't know how Quentin feel about his daughter riding a motorcycle.
But she is a grown woman now and can make her own choices. Regarding all aspects of her life.
It is something she had told Quentin repeatedly, especially when Quentin brings up her relationship with him. His past mistakes, Sarah's death, (even though, Dinah is still convinced that Sarah is alive and is still looking for her somewhere in Asia), Laurel's dealings with "the Hood." But Laurel and Quentin doesn't know that he and "the Hood" are the same person.
However he knows he should tell Laurel. He knows that secrets can ruin a relationship. It was what ruined his relationship with Tommy, and it potentially ruined his relationship with McKenna, before she was killed in the crossfire in Helena's vendetta against him.
He can only imagined what Laurel would be like when he finally tells her, but he suspects her reaction may be a bit similar to Tommy's. A bit hurt because he didn't trust her beforehand, but he doesn't imagine she would break their relationship completely like Tommy did.
She may need some time to herself and think. He honestly expects that but at the end of the day he knows she would understand.
After all she has always been one of the few people to believe in the Arrow from the beginning. He also knows despite her believing he was a "killer" after the incident. She eventually showed through her actions, that she didn't necessary think that way anymore and haven't for a long time.
Not to mention, she probably trusts him.
She trusts him without knowing the "Hood" is Oliver Queen.
"Will I see you tonight," he questions softly as presses a kiss to her cheek, knowing that she has been awake for awhile, or at least somewhere in between.
"I'll meet you at the club at 9," she utters a bit tiredly.
He nods, even though he knows that Laurel probably couldn't see the action. He decided that tonight, will be the day he tells her.
About him being the hood, how suspects his mother was somehow involved with the yacht accident. From there he will see where their relationship takes them.
