"Sora, what are you trying to do?"
"Help me up, will you?"
"…Why?"
"Just help me up."
"If you were taller, you wouldn't even need my help."

The smaller boy's sneakers scraped the weathered red brick as he scrambled up onto the chest-high wall, aided by his friend.

Pale green eyes watched the brunette wobble precariously on the narrow ledge as he tried to find his footing.

"If you slip and fall, I'm going to laugh at you."
"I'll make doubly sure to fall on you."

Sora took a few steps forward cautiously, arms outstretched for balance. One could of course argue he never had a sense of balance to begin with.

"Why are you even up there?"
"Just cause I feel like it - aah!"
"Watch it!"

Riku reached out to grasp Sora's hand, steadying the brunette as he fought to regain his balance.

"Sora, get down from there already, before you really fall and break your neck."

Riku received a sunny smile in response; he felt Sora lace their fingers together tightly.

"Don't worry - I'm not gonna fall again, cause you're holding my hand."
