In the Common Room sat various seniors huddling round the one TV analysing the on-going football match but one certain young man's eyes were solely transfixed on his calculus textbook. Blaine sat silently trying to ignore the sudden cheers and comments coming from his fellow peers until Wes and David practically skipped into the room.
Wes and David landed themselves in the two chairs opposite Blaine. Blaine raised one eyebrow without looking up at his friends.
"Why are you two so happy?" he asked.
Wes and David looked at each other and back at the slick-haired, blazered boy with a smile of secret joke on their faces.
"You're the one who should be happy," Wes beamed. Dramatically David placed a hand on his heart.
"Our little boy is growing up!" Wiping invisible tears, he pulled Blaine into a bear-hug over the table. Wes gratefully joined in.
Blaine quickly shrugged them off as people in the common room were starting to notice.
"What the hell is going on?" he hissed while roughly adjusted his tie, really confused now.
Blaine looked at David.
David cleared his throat.
Blaine looked at Wez.
Wes tapped his fingers on the table.
"Will someone please tell me what is going on here?" Blaine said, half-excited, half-confused.
Wes and David both glanced at each other and nodded in silent mutual consent. Getting up, they said "Come on Blaine, we'd rather you find out for yourself." They led him out of the common room, into his dormitory.
Currently Blaine didn't have a roommate, so the first thing Blaine noticed was the other bed officially made up, with the famous "Dalton Academy's Standard Book of Conduct", placed neatly in the middle.
He turned slowly to his friends, "Am I getting a new roommate?" he inquired, even though he knew the answer.
"Have a look for yourself," Wes nodded towards the book. Blaine slowly picked it up. Taking a reassuring breath he opened it.
KURT HUMMEL.
That's who it was addressed to.
Blaine's jaw dropped as he stared at his two friends. Wes and David turned to leave, but no without singing, "Imma get your heart racing, in my skin tight jeans..."
Their voices faded away. Blaine dropped to his bed, still staring at the book, not quite knowing what to do with himself. He didn't know why but the thought of Kurt being his roommate had him giddy with excitement. Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough. With that thought Blaine drifted into a blissful sleep...
