Hello and welcome to my random drabbles! I've never really done 'drabbles' before. I'm not even sure these'll all count as drabbles per se. I anticipate more 'short stories', little one-chapter, coupla pages sorta things, rather than the coupla paragraphs that seem to make up most 'drabbles' I've seen. Much as I'll admit to enjoying a good drabble now and then, I'm not known for my ability to keep my writings short. XD Anyways, this'll mostly just be whatever random Anakin/Ahsoka scenes pop into my head that don't really fit anywhere else. MOST of them will be in the same 'universe' as my Aurora series (yes, it's a series… eventually), which won't make too much difference at first, but as that story and the ones following it go on, it'll start to matter. On that vein, if one of these ISN'T Aurora-verse, I'll let you know, but like I said it won't matter much for a while. Anyways, this one's short; it's sorta a prologue-drabble… if generally un-related drabbles can have a 'prologue'… whatever.

A Learning Experience

It doesn't matter who you are, there's always more you can learn. You can be a new recruit or a veteran soldier, a student or a teacher, merely a child or a lifetime older than your age would admit. There's always things to learn, and fewer better ways to do it than being made to form relationships – if you're going to learn, you might as well learn about other people; after all, relationships are good to have.

It's a sure thing that learning will happen, when a Master is given a Padawan. Master's supposed to teach, so it should be obvious. Ahsoka knew she was going to learn – that's why she was here – but she had to admit, she hadn't anticipated she'd learn all that she was. She'd come to him to learn about being a Jedi Knight, to gain skills she would need in the future; she hadn't considered much else. But she wasn't just learning how to be a Jedi – she was learning to know her new Master, learning how to get along with him, his little quirks and habits, where she fit in and where they differed. She was learning skills from him, and she was learning things about him, too – it wasn't exactly what she'd expected, but she had to admit she was enjoying it.

And Anakin? He'd never been renowned for his people skills. And he hadn't anticipated that this little whelp of a Togruta would have much to teach him. He was the Master, after all – he'd teach her what she needed to know, so long as she was willing to learn; he'd do his job, and be the teacher, but not a student, that should have been clear. So when he had to pause and take into account how much he was actually learning about her, and learning from her, it was definitely not what he'd expected – but he had to admit it wasn't that bad.

It's only natural, when you have to spend most every moment with someone as a Master and Padawan must, that both parties will start finding out a lot about each other. It wasn't always easy, and it wasn't always peaceful – conflict happens, especially when two personalities so strong as Anakin's and Ahsoka's are made to interact. But it was important and it was real and sometimes it was even fun. And even in the short time they'd been together, both were sure this was going to be quite the learning experience, in more ways than they'd ever anticipated.
