Oh, So Unfortunate
Kagome sat in her seat, humming and twiddling her thumbs. Her family decided to take her out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant for her Birthday after she came back from the Feudal Era. Too bad they didn't know how boring it was for her. She had been sitting for about an hour watching Souta, who never stopped asking when dessert was, devour his food.
Kagome shifted into a more comfortable position. For once in her life, she actually wanted Inuyasha to show up and stir things up a bit. Who can blame her?
Kagome was brought back to reality when her dearest little brother suddenly yelled, "DESSERT!!" She looked at the little cookie that was placed on her plate. She recognized it right away.
'It's a fortune cookie!' She thought. Kagome picked it up but decided against cracking it open.
"This is dessert?!" Kagome turned towards Souta who was eyeing his fortune cookie with great fury. "This is puny!!" Her poor little brother was waiting hours for his wonderful dessert but all he gets is a little cookie. Kagome laughed.
Kagome's mom cracked open her fortune cookie and smiled at her fortune. "Optimism will take you a long way. Isn't that nice?"
Kagome shrugged. Maybe if she brought some fortune cookies back to the Feudal Era it would make things more fun for everyone.
