As I open my eyes slowly, I look at my chest and a pikachu stares back at me. I smile and pet it slowly, pikachu lets out a "Pika" in joy, as it runs down stairs wanting me to follow. I get out of bed and check my pokegear, I had a text from Mya WHY ARE YOU STILL ASLEEP TODAY IS THE DAY, REPEAT THE DAY IS HERE YOU GOT FIVE MINUTES. Shes crazy" I say with a smile. I stand up and grab a white T-shirt and blue jeans and put them on as fast as I could, slid on my red shoes. I ran down the stair with breakfast waiting for me, "Hi sweetie, sleep well??" My mom says with her usual bright smile, "well if I'm being completely honest, I stayed up till three researching what my starter will be" I said trying to look cute so I don't get in trouble, "that's fine, but Jason, be careful when you leave, and call me everyday, no every hour, or maybe I should just come with you or..." "MOM, I'll be fine Mya is coming too, she's the daughter of the professor I think she'll know what to do." I said with a stressed look "ok fine but you haft to visit, not every day but at least one befor your journey is over. Deal?" My mother said looking at me with a straight look. "Fine" I said "only because I love you." We laughed, said our goodbyes, grabbed my red jacket and blue backpack and was out the door.
"Jason glad you could make it" said Elm " I have two starters left, here in Johto the starting usually given are Totodile Chikaorita and Cyndaquil, but I want you, the son of the champion to use of these two special pokèmon, we have Eevee and Riolu, these two Pokémon have special things that no other Pokémon have, Eevee have a total of 7 different paths of Evolution but only 5 our found in Johto, If you pick Eevee I want you not to use any stones, and the other choice you have is a Pokémon not from here, Riolu, this Pokémon is special because is has the power to talk to its trainer when it evolves, so what Pokémon shall not only be your partner but your friend?" Jason look at the Professor in Shock as he tried to take all this in, "well my dad has a jolteon and a Umbreon so I don't think I want Eevee, I think Riolu would be a great partner to have!" Jason shouted not able to hold his joy any longer, "Ok then" The professor said as he grabbed a computer chip and a Pokéball from his desk "put this in your PokéGear and it will have a app that automatically records pokemon data, its call the pokèdex" I slipped the chip in and restarted my pokegear "by the way professor, where's Mya??" Elm laughed, "she's already in the next town, want me to.." and I grabbed my pokèballs and Riolu and ran out the door shouting "I DONT WANNA LOSE HER, SEE YA LATER!!" I almost could here the smile on Elms face.
