Have no Fear – Chapter 001

"Reggie? What are you doing out here all by your lonesome? Does the master of love need to console you in your time of need?"

Reggie rolled her eyes, but didn't turn around to look at her friend as she replied back. "I'm fine, Atticus, just somewhat cold."

Atticus let out a short chuckle. "Considering the thickness of that cute little purple sweater number you're wearing, I somewhat doubt that, Mac."

Reggie sighed. "You're never one to let a lady keep her demons to herself, are you, Rhodie?"

"It's part of my charm."

The blonde snorted in amusement at that. "Never one to let an ego-boosting moment go by, Rhodie."

A comforting hand was placed on her shoulder, and a question was asked. "These demons, they wouldn't have anything to do with the whole recent mess with your father and Tragodeia, would it?"

She shivered slightly. "Yes, it would. I-" She shuddered again, unable to go on.

"Let it out, Mac. You can't keep it bottled up forever."

"Every time I look at my father, I remember that he was possessed by that, that, thing, and I just…" A chocked off sob followed. "And then, I remember that brief time where you were possessed as well by that thing's foul will, and how there was nothing I could do or say that would bring you back and I-!"

Atticus spun Reggie around, and embraced her tightly to his chest. He lowered his head, and softly whispered into her ear, "Shh, Mac, everything is going to be okay. That creature is gone now, and can never hurt you again."

Reggie shook a little in his arms. "But what if something else like him appears? What will happen then?" She gripped his black coat tightly as she held on to him as if her life depended on it.

A hand gently cupped her chin, slowly bringing her gaze to meet his. "Reggie, have no fear…."

A black mask glinted in the moonlight as the shadows on the pier grew darker.

AN: Yes, yet another GX manga/anime mesh-together. This time by yours truly. (Probably will only write just the Nightshroud duel, but may do more later. Haven't decided yet)
