Bewildered
The Ravenclaw common room was silent, save for the scratching of quills and ruffling of paper.
Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy were studying. The pile of books they had gone through was steadily growing taller and was in danger of keeling over.
Rose gingerly added Stadard Book of Spells Grade Five on the top of the pile.
She held her breath.
The pile tottered.
Scorpius looked up from Hogwarts: A History.
They both waited.
The pile swayed precariously and then was still.
The pair let out a sigh of relief.
They went back to studying.
Scorpius shut is book with a thud and stretched, ruffling his blond hair and rubbing his eyes.
He had been studying for the past five hours.
He thought he had a crick in his neck.
He arched his neck back, and looked up.
His steel grey eyes widened in shock.
His worst nightmare.
Mistletoe.
"Rose", he whispered, "Look up."
She did.
Her blue eyes widened.
She smirked to herself.
Mistletoe.
This would be fun!
"Mistletoe." She whispered back.
"It isn't the enchanted kind. So you don't have to kiss me." Scorpius murmured; a look of pure terror in his eyes.
"I know I don't have to" replied the redhead, nonchalantly as she collected her books and parchments.
She noted, absently that the sky had darkened.
The stars were out.
Rose got up and slung her bag over her shoulder and grabbed a couple of books.
She tripped over a shoelace and fell.
Right where Scorpius was sitting.
He jumped up and helped her pick up her books.
They stayed there kneeling.
Looking into each other's eyes.
The mistletoe hovered above them.
"it isn't the enchanted kind." Rose whispered again, "I don't have to kiss you."
Scorpius nodded, he didn't trust himself to speak.
Rose leaned forward and kissed him, softly, gently, quickly.
And then she got up, books in hand, before Scorpius could react.
"I don't have to kiss you, but I want to. Good night Scorpius." She said and walked off to the girls' dorm.
Maybe mistletoe wasn't that bad.
Scorpius just stayed there, kneeling.
Utterly bewildered.

Author's Note: This was another bit of randomness that came to me while writing my English project. I know, bad me! Anyway, keep checking back because the next chapter of Rose Weasley: Hogwarts Head Girl will be up in a bit, by the end of today hopefully!
