All I have to do is Dream
An: I'm taking a break from writing FFVII poem fics so I thought I'd give a shot to FFX cause Warui-Usagi likes it so much. I'm writing it for her. Hope it gives you some Ideas!
I know that you worry,
And I know that you care.
Just hear me out now,
It may be our last chance.
You say this is your story.
That someday this dream will end.
Remember me for all eternity.
We will always be friends.
But this is my story too,
My heart is shattered.
I know that you love me,
But now that doesn't matter.
I believe in you now,
Know that I always do.
I'll be in your dreams forever,
In those dreams with you.
There we can escape,
There we'll be free.
We can see Zanarkand,
You can show me!
Because all I ever known to be,
All I ever thought was true.
All of that was a lie,
Until I met you.
And though our dreams may vanish,
And our hearts may be broken.
We may call out our words,
Ones we had never spoken.
Believe in me now.
I know that you do.
I Believe I can fly,
Because you can too.
And though you're gone now,
And the world is ours again…
Was it really worth it all,
In the end?
Only time can tell
What the future may hold.
I don't really care
What I have been told.
I will whistle and you will come,
And you will come back to me.
Once again we will walk together,
All I have to do is dream.
And those dreams that had vanished,
The hearts that were broken,
All will be mended,
Through those words finally spoken…
