Prologue

Teleport. Run away. That was my life. Make friends, then teleport away before my past caught up to me. Will I ever stop running? I don't know. Maybe I will, but not yet. Not yet. I will continue to teleport.

Alec's POV

We had been sent to end a newborn army. An easy, routine assignment. But Aro warned us to be careful, they had some extremely gifted newborns. He told us to try and get them to join the Volturi. We departed for Venice, Italy in the morning. When we reached the newborn army, Alec immobilized them with his mist. We had taken a pretty big group of vampires since there were so many gifted vampires in this army. We surrounded them all and killed the leader in front of them, after Alec had removed his mist.

"You have been conspicuous. The punishment for that is death. Now, all vampires under one year old head to that side, any vampires older than one year go over there." They all listened to us, then we started destroying. We started with the newborns, then moved on to the older vampires. There was a surprising amount of older vampires, they must have been gifted. We didn't destroy the gifted ones right away, only the non-gifted ones since Aro wanted to get some to join the Volturi. One by one, we asked the gifted vampires to join the Volturi. And one by one, they declined and were destroyed. We reached the last one, a vampire changed at fourteen, the same age as me and Jane.

"Hello. And no, I will not be joining the Volturi. I will leave now. Goodbye!" She said, cheerfully. Jane lunged for her, but she somehow got out of the way. All six of us Volturi members attacked, but she somehow managed to evade us all. Suddenly, they all stood back so I could use my mist. It reached her, and she was immobilized. Yet, she smiled.

"Goodbye. It was nice playing with you!" She said. Then, she disappeared and appeared on the other side of the clearing. She opened her eyes, winked, then disappeared again. We haven't seen her for one hundred years. Aro wants her, and will not be stopped. He is adamant that she will either join or die. We caught up to her fifty years ago, in the middle of a fight. We assumed she died there, because there were no survivors. Everyone had been torn into unrecognizable pieces. When Edward and his stupid human pet came, Aro saw her in his thoughts. She had visited them a couple of years back. She didn't follow their diet, but became close friends with them. The hunt was on. A little while later, we saw her again, at the confrontation with the Cullens. But before we could get to her, she teleported.

So, here's the first chapter for my new story, Teleport. I'll try and update as often as I can, but I am currently focusing on my other story, Hybrids of the Elements. The first person to favorite this story will be mentioned. Please favorite and review, it really means a lot to me.
