Hi! It's your friend, Smashy! This is just something I wanted to try out, it isn't going to be official unless-you know, I feel like it.

I own absolutely nothing, and I'm sorry about getting anything wrong.

Also, I will try to finish up a FanFic for once. I promise!

Chapter 1-Percy

Everything was going fine until a hellhound showed up.

My name is Percy Jackson, and usually I tell my stories to Rick Riordan, but today someone else asked me.

Things were normal at Camp-Half-Blood. Camp Jupiter wasn't due until two weeks from now, so everything was fine. Leo was in bunker 9, catching up on some stuff, and Jason was at Camp Jupiter, working on a shrine. Annabeth went to visit her cousin Magnus in Boston.

That left me and Piper.

Sure, we were on the Argo II together for quite a while, but we never really talked. She would sometimes go visit Leo in the bunker and see if he needed any help, or sometimes I would go down to my father Poseidon's underwater palace, visit the cyclops forge, and just hang out with my brother, Tyson. Things were going great.

One day, Piper came up to me and asked if I wanted to visit Leo with her. My father needed Tyson for a personal shipment, so he wouldn't be at the forge today. I decided to tag along.

We walked through the woods for a while, until we came upon a giant cliff face. I had never personally been to bunker 9 before, but I had heard a lot of stories. Piper pushed hard on the cliff face, and at first, she looked ridiculous, pushing a mountain. But then, just as easily as picking up a pencil, the cliff face opened to reveal a large room.

"Cool," I muttered. Piper chuckled, so maybe she heard me. I dunno.

We stepped inside, and immediately I saw Leo, sitting there on Festus and playing with something that looked mysteriously like a grenade. Leo looked down and waved.

"Timber!" he shouted. He threw the grenade, and once it hit the ground, it exploded. Instead of a fiery explosion, however, it burst into a miniature mountain of ice cream.

"Leo! How did you? What?" stuttered Piper. Leo just laughed.

"So, what you guys up to today?" He asked.

"Percy and I came to see if you needed help with anything," Piper explained.

"Not today Pipes, Cal and I were going to Texas to do something," Leo said. I didn't know for sure, but I thought I saw a wistful sadness in his eyes. I told myself to stop imagining things. Leo isn't sad.

"Ok," was the only thing Piper said.

When we left bunker 9, I turned to face Piper.

"Is it just me, or did it seem like Leo was upset about something?" I asked.

Piper got a faraway look in her eyes.

"Leo came from Texas. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Calypso were visiting Leo's mom's grave," she said.

I felt like I had been slapped. Leo's mom was DEAD?

"I never knew," I said, feeling guilty.

"It's ok," Piper reassured me, "I didn't find out until my first quest with Jason and Leo."

"Wasn't that last year?" I asked.

"Yeah. Apparently, Leo had been hiding that from everyone since he was 8."

"Poor Leo," was all I could say.

Then I heard it. A familiar, low growl.

"Piper, get down."

"What is that?" she asked.

Then it bounded out of the woods. A hellhound.

It was basically a large black dog that could shadow-travel, but had the fangs of a tiger, and the claws of one too.

I pulled out a pen, and uncapped the top. My pen grew into a long celestial-bronze blade.

Riptide.

I slashed at the great black dog, but with no luck. It grabbed my leg, and Piper grabbed my other one. The Hellhound dissolved into shadows.

I hate cliffhangers, unless I'm the one giving them.
