Scorpius Malfoy, Rose thought, is the best ice cream partner EVER! He knows when we need ice cream, why we need ice cream and how we are going to get this ice cream. Which is why I have a crush on him.
..
Rose Weasley, Scorpius thought, is the best potions partner ever. I wish she thought of me of more than just her best friend.
..
Scorpius Malfoy and Rose Weasley, Albus Severus thought, are the most annoying people to be around ever. Which is why I'm going to find more friends eventually. A little late considering it's our fifth year. My "new" friendships I've made are... Interesting.
..
Rose and Scorpius walked into the empty potions lab to help Scorpious on the really simple potion he was messing up.
"Rose, why?" Scorpious asked uncertainly. This was not going very well, he was afraid that he was going to melt his cauldron again. For the seventeenth time. In a row. Yeah. Her dad joked he was Seamus all over again.
"Why what? Why do you insist on trying to kill me to get a better OWL or, why do I believe in nargles or why do you not have your father's extraordinary talent in potions or why do I..." Rose said in popcorn a rapid pace before stopping very suddenly, making him forget what he was about to say.
..
"Rosie, do you wanna go look at the stars with me?" Scorpious said in the spur of the moment to make up for the awkward silence. Rose agreed and they headed to the astronomy tower. On the way to the tower they saw her cousin, Victorie. Victorie greeted them warmly and turned back to the students she was nagging. Victorie is the youngest teacher Hogwarts has had since three centuries ago at being only twenty-two years old.
Once they got up the to the top of the stairs of the tower, they sat at the edge of the room that was facing the outside world. "Hey buttface…" Rose said uncertainly trying to figure out which constellations were which only able to point out a stars in a couple of different constellations ; Sirius, Cassiopeia, Orion, Andromeda, Draco, and her favourite star, Scorpius, the star her best friend was named after. Probably the only reason she knew the names of these certain stars is because her family has had something to do with almost all of them. (Except Cassiopeia, Cassiopeia is her favourite book heroine.)
"Yeah?" He replied in a feigned cordial voice. This new nickname Rose has developed has been annoying him.
"Will you promise me something?" She whispered even though he was sitting right next to to her. All up in her grill. Being distractingly cute and stuff. 'Focus', she thought.
"Anything."
"Your not even going to ask what is it?" She questioned him. He's the most paranoid person she's ever met and he doesn't want to know what she wants him to promise? This sounds fishy... What's he up to?
"No I have complete faith in your secrets. However, I do not trust who you chose to share them with but, thats your problem." He ended with a shrug of the shoulders, motioning to himself in the process.
"Okay... I never said it was a secret and... What? You would seriously break my trust in you? How heartless!"
"You heard me. Maybe. Yes, yes I am." Scorpius dead panned. "Joking, joking!" He held up his hands in a defensive manner while Rose smacked repeatedly.
