An orange light fills the black, dusty, old room. It is so silent that you could hear a pin drop. The curtains on the window are ripped, stained, and beaten. A single picture frame is on the dresser; A mother, father, and a young girl. That young girl is not so young anymore, she is 18. Her name is Jordan, Jordan Right. She shows no sign of life, caring, or love. She sits in her room and cries, but why? She has the perfect family, Right? No, Her father left when she was 2 months old. She has no memory of him, she only sees pictures but that does not fill the hole in her heart. There are scares on her writs, blood on her legs, and tears from her eyes. So why is she so sad?

The morning sun woke up Jordan that morning. A new day and a new school. She stood in the middle of her room putting up her hair, as she let her hand drop to her side. You would see that deep scares, she swung a long sleeve shirt on to cover herself.

As she walked into the kitchen she saw her mom laying on the couch. The smell of beer and cigarette's filled the air. As she made her way to the living room she noticed her mother glaring at her. "I'm off to school." She said. Her mother gave a weak and fake smile. As she walks out the door she sees that there are many people walking, running, and jogging. She starts off to the school, walking slow she feels that pain on her writs.

As she walks up to school she sees all the students running, hugging, and taking. Jordan walks into the school, and hears the loud intercom."Welcome back to Degrassi staff and students, today at lunch we are serving -," Slowly the voice dims down, Jordan walks to the office and grabs her schedule. She walks to her first class, English class with Mrs. Dawes.
