Chapter One: Pictures mean something
It was a usual day at Yukamaki school, the sun was shining and the bell had just rung. Students stormed out of the building, some with friends, some on their own. Ritsuka strolled out of the building his tail swishing and ears happily flicking, closely followed by his best friend, Yuiko Hawatari who also had ears and a tail.
"Ritsuka, are we going to go to the park today?" Asked Yuiko, with a voice as gentle as a kitten, and somewhat, enthusiastic.
"We could," Replied Ritsuka. "It's a good idea Yuiko, but I have to ask Soubi..."
Soubi was Ritsuka's best friend, and lover, he had a tail but no ears, as most adults did. Soubi was standing by the gate, a cigarette in his hand, it was a habit of his to smoke.
"Soubi!" Shouted Ritsuka, running over quickly.
"Hmm," Soubi looked over and dropped the cigarette, flattening it with his foot. "Ritsuka it's good to see-" Ritsuka wrapped his arms around the adult's waist.
"I missed you Soubi," Ritsuka said, slowly taking his arms away from his waist. "Would you like to come to the park with me and Yuiko?"
"Sure, it sounds like a great idea Ritsuka."
After arriving at the park, Ritsuka had a idea. He would take pictures with Soubi and Yuiko, he liked taking photographs, it was a hobby of his.
"I have a idea!" said Ritsuka, fumbling through his bag. "We could take some pictures by the lake!"
"What a great idea!" Shouted Yuiko.
After a while of taking pictures constantly, the group set down on a nearby park bench to discuss about the pictures and various other topics of conversation. Ritsuka was paying no attention to Yuiko and Soubi, instead he was enjoying looking at the pictures he had taken with his friends. HE was studying all of them closely, his purple eyes moving as the next picture rolled on, he really liked these pictures.
Soubi -After realising Ritsuka was not paying attention- asked Ritsuka a question.
"Enjoying the pictures Ritsuka?" Said Soubi, smirking slightly.
Ritsuka just nodded and continued looking at the pictures.
"Can I see them?" Asked Yuiko, hopping slightly in her seat.
"Yeah, I think they are really good!" Said Ritsuka, handing the camera to Yuiko.
Soubi -Thinking this was the perfect opportunity- put a hand around Ritsuka's cheek and pulled him forwards, kissing him on the lips.
Ritsuka blushed and his feline ears flattened, he thought in his mind as Soubi kissed him: 'Soubi... I-'.
"I like these pictures!" Shouted Yuiko. "They are-" Yuiko stopped and stared at the two, wondering what on earth was happening between them, how long had it been like this, but more importantly, why were they kissing?
Soubi pulled away from Ritsuka, opening his eyes. Ritsuka sat there blushing for a moment before shaking his head and wiping his mouth.
"So do you like the pictures Yuiko?" Asked Ritsuka with a nervous smile, trying to go back to the previous topic.
Still wondering what had happened, Yuiko nodded slowly handed back the camera to Ritsuka, she blinked a couple of times before resuming to her usual self.
"I liked them alot Ritsuka!"
