Her fingers dance idly over top of the box, the rough texture a simple relief from the past few days. She stares but doesn't see, she is but a ghost of her former self, everyone moving slowly and gently about her. Careful with their words, their actions…their thoughts.
All that he was lies in that box; past treasures, silly souvenirs, things he held dear. She dare not open it, but her heart pounds with a need that must be filled, left empty by his death. She grips it tightly to her chest and weeps for the love she has lost.
