Welcome to my first Fanfiction! *insert confetti here!* I originally made account this to post Heart no Kuni no Alice fanfiction, but I started reading the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5d's fan fiction and couldn't help myself!

This is just a short drabble in the first person. I'm not going to specify who the person is. If you want, you can put yourself in there...a favorite OC...Aki...or even Jack! Though, quite frankly, I'm not a big YuseixJack fan. I tried imagining this being Jack and almost died laughing XD But if you're into that kinda stuff, than who am I to judge?

I feel myself stirring from my deep sleep. I know that it is time to wake up, that the sun has risen and the metaphorical birds are singing, but my brain is still foggy from the sleep that weighs down my limbs and keeps my eyes glued shut. I take a deep breath as I wearily try to fight off the sleep that is trying to wash over me again. All I can smell is Yusei.

I've always loved his smell. He has the faint smell of oil on him, from his constant tinkering on the D-runners. It mingles perfectly this morning with the smell of his skin and the faint scent of his body wash from the shower he took last night. I bury my head deeper into his chest and take another deep breath, taking in his scent even more. I tighten my already vice-like grip around his waist, trying to leave no distance between our already-mashed-together bodies.

The sound of his heart is so loud, and drowns out all other sounds and existences. All that exists in these moments is that sound, rhythmic and constant and perfect. I find myself counting his heartbeats. 1, 2, 3, 4… My fingers tap subconsciously to the rhythm.

Yusei's head turns on the pillow towards me. He makes a grunting noise, prying me away from the sound of his heart. I carefully open my eyes as he shifts the arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer (as if that is possible at this point). I smile and look up at him, and he returns my gaze with those beautiful cobalt eyes. "Good morning," he whispers, his voice husky from sleep.

I smile wider and lean up to kiss him beneath the chin, just as I do every morning. I'm feeling particularly frisky this morning as I nibble playfully on his chin. A rather hard nip to his solid jaw line earned an annoyed "Hey" from the sleepy mechanic.

"Good morning," I whisper.
