Turnabout 2008 by SpiritofAttorney

Argus Hakan was sitting at a computer browsing /r/Hexepta as usual.

"Gee, I sure wish there'd be another update on the progress," he said, "I'm looking forward to being able to walk around properly and talk to people without them not having any lines to say and the ground isn't complete."

Suddenly some internal commentary in his program appeared saying "/SET DATE TO A DATE IN 2008" and everything disappeared.

When he woke up, it was 2008 and he was inside the internet.

"Hello?" he asked to the internet browsers.

Suddenly, someone posted a troll face at him.

"AAaah!" he shrieked as he almost got TROLLED by it!

The troll face, however, TURNED AROUND AND CAME BACK!

"Hello." said the troll face, "Look over there! To the right!"

There was a door that said: "Exit to Utopia land"!

"Woah nice!" said Argus, but when he went to open it, he found out it was A YOUTUBE LINK?!"

Suddenly, without warning, it started playing drums like dudum dudududum dudum and then it was Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley.

"Ha ha trolled u u got le rickrolled!" said trollface.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" said Argus.

(I know, I'll try "editing" the youtube link to make it take me to another youtube video!) thought Argus, and he edited it.

But... it made him reach "Mudkipz saying le mudkip for 10 hours straight lol" and he had to watch aaaaaallllllllllllllll of that...

-10 HOURS LATER-

"Wew it's finally over" said Argus to himself. However, despite the way that he wasn't directing his speech at anyone there were many funny nekos ready to pounce on whatever spoke and he was unlucky.

"OH no NOT THE lolcaTS!?" shouted Argus, fearfully.

Monorail cat long cat nyan cat tac nayn the OMG cat and grumpy cat all charged at him and attacked him.

"Oh no, this is bad!" shouted Argus, "But maybe if I use that then I can still do this!"

-Absolute Truth-

(Hmm, well, in order to survive, it seems I must fight these cats and kill them. But I don't want to kill nekos ;;)

(In that case, I must be able to not get killed by them in a way that won't hurt them. But they are cats, they don't speak english, so what can I possibly do?)

(Well, that's not quite true actually. They aren't really cats as such, they are cat memes, but will this knowledge make a difference)

(Hmmm... they are just memes, and this is just the internet... that's it! I got it!)

"This is all just fiction, so who cares what happens!"

The cats killed Argus but he was ok, since he knew he was just a computer program and wasn't real.
