~Well, here it is- my third Vincent poem...*Cough* I'm hoping this one gets more reviews than the last two...*Hint, hint!* Anyways...this is a non-rhyming poem, and it carries along the same lines as Nightmarish Gaze, only I've carried it a step furthur, so rather than simply being from the point of view of someone meeting Vincent, it's from the POV of someone who wants to love Vincent, but is having difficultly because of...well, because he's Vincent, you know?~

*I Want You Near*

In silence I look upon you
My heart overflowing with emotion
Questions spinning inside my head
Shall I advance, to embrace you
Or shy away in fear?
This question, like your gaze, haunts me-
Yet I still want you near.

The darkness I see within your eyes
Blackness of unfathomable depth
I want to run; I want to cry
I feel now the hurt you feel
Silently brooding over the past
If I could, for you, make one thing clear-
I'd say I want you near.

Broken heart, beating gently,
So afraid to love again
How can I calm, and reassure,
One who's hidden for so long?
In silence, look upon me
My heart overflowing with emotion
Hear me whisper, without fear-

Don't you know I want you near?
