I started eagerly out the window, as I counted down the clock. Time seemed to have slowed down, but this always happened to me. Life had been rough the past three years. High School, the accident, and discovery had been interesting. I guess I should introduce myself, I am Justin Kuso. Three years ago my entire life changed in an instant. I am not like the kids around me. I am different, very different. Most people only have to experience life once. I go through it twice. It is like the ultimate second chance. Some people would love to be able to rewind time and do everything over again, but I have no choice. I have to live through everything twice. I'll tell you from the beginning how my nightmare started.

It all started on the worst day of my life. I woke up to the sound of the birds, a sound I am not use to. My first thought was that I woke up before my alarm. I opened my eyes and looked at my clock. 10:30, I'd over slept by three hours. I had never been late in my life. I quickly shot out of my bed and ran into the shower. I franticly searched for some clean cloths. I couldn't find any. I checked the washer and dryer, still nothing. Finally I found dirty ones in the hamper. As I made my way through the kitchen I noticed the clock on the microwave was blinking "reset." It hit me then that we must have had a power outage and my alarm shut off. I ran out to my car, I tried to start it up. No luck, dead battery. I looked down at my watch, 11:15. I could make a run for it; the school was only six miles from my house. After a minute or two I just turned around and walked back into the house. I would just have to kill my perfect attendance record. I walked into the living room and plopped onto the couch. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. I flipped from station looking for something to watch. The Price is Right, The View, Soap Operas galore, and more dang kid shows then you can imagine so I decided to pop in a movie. My stomach started to growl, I had forgotten to eat with all the excitement. So like a lion as it stocks it's pray I made my way to the kitchen.

When I made it to the kitchen door, I stopped in horror of the sight that I saw. My mom usually is a neat freak, but there were still dishes in the sink from breakfast. I went to the sink to see if I was just seeing things. The dishes were just sitting in the sink, no water, no soap just…sitting there. By now I had completely forgotten why I had come in here; I turned around and ran upstairs. Thinking of it, why didn't my mom wake me up? I ran up stairs to where my parents' room was. I flung open the door; I had no idea what I was looking for. I stood in the doorway looking at the room. The room was destroyed. The gorgeous satin drapes that hung over the bay window were torn off the poles. There were thousands of pieces of glass all over the floor from both the mirror and the window.
