Saving Us

By Scream

A world of chaos and misery,

With uncertainty and insecurity,

Clouding our minds from reality,

Cracks in friendships deepening,

As half-truths slip between,

Creating doubt;

Mounting to mistrust and abhor,

Is there anything to save us?

But beyond all problems,

Our world may be saved,

Relationships given chances,

Which are crumbling today,

But the only way this may happen,

Is to fight the fight,

And bring about light,

Is there anyone to save us?

Stand together with love,

Forgive the unforgivable,

Watch the lines blur,

As Light fades to grey,

The darker times gripping,

The hearts of our fighters,

Yet the fight is still there,

Is there enough to save us?

Step by step, we pass the line,

Reasoning has been lost,

Darkness swells around,

Yet the light is still there,

We will be there until the end,

Our heroes will not back down,

We are the heroes, the warriors of light…

We shall save ourselves.
