He had been trying to sneak up to see what you were doing for the past hour now, but you would not let him. You had homework to do (Hogwarts was so demanding!), and you definitely did not need a little kid bothering you. However, you knew you could not avoid him forever. He was too curious for his own good.
"Teddy," he peeped quietly, the opposite of how he usually was.
"What James?" Your impatience shines through your words.
"I love you," James smiled, and you knew he missed you.
You slowly looked at James.
"I love you too."
